Closeup of the breasts of a pregnant woman.Image via Wikipedia

Inverted nipples (also referred to as invaginated nipples) are a commonly observed phenomenon. In the instance that that someone has inverted nipples, the name itself suggests what is going on. Rather than the normal or usually position of the nipple in which it is faced away from the mammary glands, the nipples are usually “pouched” in the breast. That does not mean that inverted nipples are an abnormality. It is simply a state of the body.
And it does not have to be gender restricted since inverted nipples are seen both with men and women. When the body is stimulated – sexual arousing, fatigue or sweating – the inverted nipples may be seen to be perky and pointed. But that is a short lived state since the nipples pull back inside the breast once the stimulus is gone
Now many people are wary of the fact that they aren’t “normal” because their nipples aren’t pointed. And this fear leads them to adopting various means to get the desired features. It is more commonly observed with females rather than males because the former considers pointed nipples a part and parcel of the womanly look. Thus individuals experiment with various sex toys that work to keep the nipples in a consistent state of arousal. In addition to that, some resort to the traditional method of getting nipple piercings. The piercing acts as a “puller” that does not allow the nipple to get pushed back into the mammary gland. And lastly, cosmetic surgery is also an option people turn to. Source khurak . net
